Farah Karimi 15 November 1960, Garros, Iran) is president of the Foundation for Human Security in the Middle East, "is a human right activist and politician. She left Iran 1983 and was recognized as political refugee in Germany. Since 1989 Farah Karimi lives in the Netherlands, where she studies "Policy and Administration in International Organisations". Later she coordinates "AISA, a project for Empowerment of Black, Immigrant and Refugee Women". 1998 - 2006 she was a member of the Dutch Parliament for the Dutch Green Party. Since 2008 she is also director of the Oxfam Novib (the Dutch branch of Oxfam)." [1]
