Greg Guma

Greg Guma, "author and journalist, was the Executive Director of Pacifica Foundation, based in Berkeley. He is a former editor of the Vermont Guardian, a statewide weekly newspaper and daily Web site. Prior to co-founding Vermont Guardian in 2004, he edited Toward Freedom, an international newsletter, and an alternative weekly, the Vermont Vanguard Press. He is the author of books such as Uneasy Empire: Repression, Globalization, and What We Can Do and The People’s Republic: Vermont and the Sanders Revolution. He has written about Haiti since visiting the island nation in 1977, including a documentary on the new DVD collection Haiti Rising (Green Valley Media)." [1]

"In 2004, Guma co-founded and edited The Vermont Guardian, an independent weekly newspaper in Winooski. He edited and managed Toward Freedom, a progressive magazine about global issues, for a decade before that, at the same time directing an immigration rights organization in New Mexico from 1996 to 1997."
