Huaneng Luoyang power station (华能洛阳瑞阳热电公司热电联产) is a 700-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Henan Province, China.

Background on Plant

Luoyang Sunshine power station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 270 MW. The plant was completed in 2006. After many ownership changes, the plant was eventually bought by China Huaneng.[1]

Expansion

China Huaneng is currently planning to build a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 700 MW in Henan Province.[2][3]

Construction began in 2013. The power station went into operation in June 2015.[4]
