Ian Seal "works in the education, health and community sectors, with a particular interest in social justice for disadvantaged and marginalised children and young people. He is a Trustee of the Reichstein Foundation and Board Member of the Foster Care Association of Victoria.

"Ian has managed research projects focussed on improving the school experience of children from backgrounds of entrenched poverty; developed and led a coalition of organisations working towards ending homophobia in schools and youth settings; supported Aboriginal communities to work proactively on children’s health and wellbeing; developed HIV prevention programs in West Timor, Indonesia; advocated for improved educational opportunities for children in out-of-home care; and lectured in health promotion, youth work, and adolescent health at the University of Melbourne, Deakin University and RMIT. He has been a foster parent for 11 years." [1]
