James Albert Bonsack (Inventor of first practical cigarette-making machine (1881)): Defense

Biography

James Albert Bonsack invented the first practical cigarette-making machine, which he patented in 1881. Bonsack went into business with W. Duke & Sons Co. (E. Whelan 1984). The steam-powered "Bonsak" cigarette-making machine permitted millions of cigarettes to be generated cheaply and well (J. Klein Sublime 1993).
