Biographical Information

"Jennifer Jones was a professional musician and arts administrator before joining Royal Dutch Shell in 1986. During her nine years with the company she spent two as environmental advisor to the chairman of Shell, and went on secondment to the Department of the Environment where she wrote a published report on environmental education and was part of the steering group producing a new waste strategy. She was Polymers and Environment Manager for Shell UK, working with the government in response to the EU Packaging Waste Directive. In 1996 she became a Director of the Chemical Industries Association, seeking to help the member companies to improve their environmental management, and at the same time worked as a freelance environmental consultant. She has been a board member of the Town and Country Planning Association and the Chester Enterprise Agency, as well as a Director of the Environment Council and the RSA’s Environmental Award for Industry. She now works as a freelance writer."[1]
