Background on Plant

The first four subcritical coal-fired units of Jiangsu Sheyanggang power station, totaling 540 MW, were brought online in 1992 and retired in 2008. The plant is owned by Jiangsu Guoxin Investment Group.[1]

Units 5-6 totaling 1,320 MW were brought online in 2011-2013.[2][3]

Proposed expansion

An additional 1,320 MW (2 x 660 MW) has been proposed at the same location.[4][5]

However, with no developments since June 2015, the project appears to be shelved.
