John Mackenzie "is a research fellow in the Socio-Legal Research Centre at Griffith University. John is a political sociologist with experience researching questions of environmental governance, community-based natural resource management, social impact assessment and environmental advocacy. Prior to his current position, he was a senior social scientist in the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Water, providing social science research, assessment and support for the implementation of the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality. He was previously a lecturer in environmental politics at the University of Queensland, and a lecturer in the Australian Environmental Studies School at Griffith University." [1]
