Biographical Information

"Mr. Hick brings over 30 years of executive management and board experience in the mining sector with operations encompassing the globe. Mr. Hick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto; a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Ottawa Law School; and was Called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1978. Mr. Hick spent six years with the Dome Mines Group as VP and General Counsel from 1981 to 1987, which led to a role as VP, Corporate with Placer Dome Inc. from 1987 to 1990, upon the merger between Dome Mines Limited, Campbell Red Lakes Mines Limited and Placer Development Limited. Subsequent to Placer Dome, Mr. Hick was President and CEO of Grafton Group Inc. from 1990 to 1993; President then Vice Chairman of TVX Gold Inc. from 1993 to 1997; President & CEO of Geomaque Explorations Ltd. from 2001 to 2003; President & CEO of Definace Mining Corporation from 2003 to 2004; CEO & Vice Chairman of Rio Narcea Gold Mines, Ltd. from 2004 to 2006; and President & CEO of Medoro Resources Ltd. from 2009 – 2010; responsible for the negotiation and completion of a number of major acquisitions, corporate transactions, and managing the exploration and development of various projects worldwide. In addition to these executive roles, Mr. Hick currently serves on a number of boards of junior mining companies including Carpathian Gold, Eurotin Inc., First Uranium Corporation, Hudson Resources Inc., International Minerals Corporation, Marengo Mining Ltd., St Andrew Goldfields Ltd., and Timminco Limited, in addition to having served as on the Boards of Cambior Inc., Silver Eagle Mines Inc., Corinth Capital Inc., Rayrock Resources Inc., among others."[1]
