Juliana Geran Pilon

Juliana Pilon "is a Research Professor of Politics and Culture and an Earhart Fellow at the Institute of World Politics. She was recently the Associate Director of the Center for Democracy and Election Management at American University. Prior to that time, she worked at IFES as Vice President for Programs and Senior Advisor for Civil Society. Earlier in her career, she worked as Vice President for the National Forum Foundation, a non-profit institution that focused on foreign policy issues (now part of Freedom House). At NFF, she assisted in creating a network of several hundred young political activists in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Dr. Pilon has written several books and a civic education textbook now in use in schools in Central Asia." [1]
