Kate Churchill

Kate Churchill is the Operations Manager for Colony 47, a Hobart-based community service organisation. She is seeking Labor Party pre-selection for the seat of Franklin for the 2010 Tasmanian state election.[1]

A biographical note states that she " joined Colony 47 in February 2008 as the Manager Operations after having previously worked in the Tasmanian public service for 13 years encompassing the provision of financial services for the Legislative Council, finance and procurement services for the Department of Treasury and Finance, project management and support to the General Manager Corporate Services - Department Infrastructure and Energy and Resources, Manager Portfolio Services for the Office of the Secretary – Department of Health and Human Services. Kate has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania."[2]

In a media release Bartlett stated that "Kate’s views on building inclusive communities where services can be more easily access are very much in line with this Government’s social agenda."[1]
