Kevin O'Prey

Dr. Kevin O'Prey is a Vice President of DFI International, where he co-manages the Government Practice. O'Prey oversees DFI analytical projects for the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. His current work focuses on weapons of mass destruction defense and deterrence challenges, homeland security requirements, and regional security issues.

"Prior to DFI, O'Prey worked at the Brookings Institution, the Institute for Defense Analyses, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

"He earned his doctorate in political science at MIT's Defense and Arms Control Studies program. Among his publications are A Farewell to Arms? Russia's Struggles with Defense Conversion, (NY: The Twentieth Century Fund Press, 1995); The Arms Export Challenge: Cooperative Export Management and Defense Conversion, (Washington, DC: The Brookings Institution, 1995); with Barry M.
