To compile this list, the Center for Media and Democracy(CMD) examined disclosed donations from Federal Election Commission filings from Koch Industries' KochPAC and Americans for Prosperity Action (AFP Action), state campaign finance databases, and other sources. This is limited to the donations that are required to be disclosed under federal and state law.

Additionally, CMD reviewed news reports and press releases on the activities of a variety of Koch front groups, including Americans for Prosperity, Generation Opportunity, Libre Initiative, and the Concerned Veterans for America. Notably, much of this research is focused on disclosed spending through Political Action Committee reports, but the bulk of the Koch network spending is through dark money vehicles that don't disclose the donors or the recipients.

Overall, Charles Koch's political network has not disclosed what it will spend in 2020, but plans to "go bigger than ever before."[1]
