Kochar power station
Kochar power station is a proposed 1,320-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Bihar.
The project is proposed for Kochar village in Aurangabad district, Bihar. The map below shows the location of Aurangabad district but not the exact location of the project.
The Bihar State Investment Promotion Board notes that the company was originally given investment approval for the project in 2008 to be built at Navinagar in Aurangabad district but in October 2009 gained approval for the project to be proposed instead at Kochar.
However, as of 2014 the project has not received environmental permits, and may have been cancelled.
