Lee Catherine Booker joined the Atlantic Partnership (AP) in August 2010 as a Project Manager supporting the Young Leaders program, research, web content and events.[citation needed]

Prior to her work with AP, Lee Catherine worked for the Carter Center. Her work focused researching and encouraging the implementation of legislation granting international citizens access to information. Lee Catherine supported five major conferences including "Transparency 2020; The Role of International NGOs;" the African Regional Conference on the Right of Access to Information; the meeting of the Friends of the Inter-American Democratic Charter; and the First Meeting of the Andean-Dialogue Forum.[citation needed]

She served as Georgetown University’s Chapter Coordinator of Students for Barack Obama, and worked on President Obama’s national campaign and with local grassroots organizations in Washington, D.C. She also interned for Senator John Isakson (R-GA) and for various NGOs and consulting firms.[citation needed]

Lee Catherine graduated from Georgetown University in 2009 with a major in English. In summer 2010, she was a Kathryn Davis Fellow at Middlebury College’s Portuguese School. She also studied International Law and Security with a graduate program of Georgetown University in Fiesole, Italy. She speaks Portuguese and some Spanish.[citation needed]
