Biographical Information

Dr Luisa Dillner joined the Board of NHS Direct "on 1 February 2010. She qualified in medicine from Bristol University and trained in surgery gaining her FRCS in 1991. She is Head of New Product Development at the BMJ Group and has launched some of their most successful online products such as BMJ Learning and BestHealth, the BMJ Group's online consumer health resource.

"Most recently she launched doc2doc, an online international global community for doctors and healthcare professionals. Luisa also spent two years as Health Editor at the Guardian and has written three books and numerous health articles for consumer publications. "[1]
