Margaret, Baroness Ford of Cunninghame "joined Serco in October 2003 as a Non-Executive Director. She spent her early career in a variety of roles either in the public sector or as an advisor to Government and is a specialist in leadership development, culture change and public sector reform. From 1997-2000 she was Chairman of Lothian Health Board and from 2000-2003 was a Non-Executive Director of Ofgem. From 2000-2005 Margaret was a Director of Good Practice Limited, the publishing company that she founded. Margaret is the Chairman of English Partnerships, the national regeneration agency and in 2006 she was appointed the Non-Executive Chairman of Irvine Bay Regeneration Company. Baroness Ford is the Chair of the Olympic Park Legacy Company and our Board. She joined the Legacy Company from Royal Bank of Canada, where she was a Managing Director in the Bank’s Global Infrastructure Group. Baroness Ford is also the Chairman of May Gurney Integrated Services Plc and a Non-Executive Director of Grainger Plc. She recently retired as the Senior Independent Director of Serco Plc and from 2002 until 2007, she was the Chairman of English Partnerships, the national regeneration agency.[2]
