Biographical Information

"Mark Chiaviello is Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at Standard Bank, the largest financial institution in Africa. Before joining Standard Bank in 2006, Chiaviello ran Deutsche Bank’s South African equity business in the United States for nine years. In 2007, Chiaviello served on the United Nations Development Programme’s Advisory Board for the Regional Programme in Africa and was elected the following year to the Board of Directors of the Corporate Council on Africa. Currently based in New York City, Chiaviello is a former Peace Corps volunteer who spent more than two years in Botswana, working with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Chiaviello has an M.B.A. in International Finance from Columbia University." [1]
