Mary Anne Hitt "is the Deputy Director of the Sierra Club's National "Move Beyond Coal" Campaign. Her previous experience includes working as executive director of Appalachian Voices, The Ecology Center and the Southern Appalachian Biodiversity Project. She received her M.S. in environmental studies from the University of Montana and her bachelor's degree in environmental science and policy from the University of Tennessee. She lives in Blacksburg, Virginia, where she spends her free time gardening, canoeing, and playing music." [1]
