Michael Bauer

Michael Bauer is a senior consultant with Res Publica Group, joining "after a distinguished career as a lawyer, corporate executive, business owner and political strategist."[1]

Bauer was a delegate to the 2000 and 2004 Democratic National Conventions and "serves as a member of the Pelosi 100, the finance committee for U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. He was finance chair for the 2006 re-election campaign of U.S. Rep. Melissa Bean of Illinois and serves on the campaign finance committees for senior Illinois U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin as well as for the presidential bid of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama. He has also been active in the 2000 presidential campaign of Vice President Al Gore; U.S. Sen. John Edwards2004 presidential bid; U.S. Sen. Joe Biden’s 2008 presidential exploratory committee, as well as the statewide campaigns for Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Attorney General Lisa Madigan. He also served as finance chair for Tom Tunney’s successful 2003 Chicago 44th ward aldermanic bid."[1]

Bauer has a B.S. from Northwestern University in 1973, a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University Law School in 1976, and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management in 1991.[1]
