Biographical Information

"Mike Rogers holds a Pr Eng certification and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. He joined Anglo American Platinum in 2002 and has served as its senior mining engineer. He was the Executive Head of Joint Ventures at Anglo American Platinum Corporation Ltd up to February 2011 and has also served as the company’s divisional director of Mine Technical Services. Mike started his career with Johannesburg Consolidated Investments Limited (JCI) as a graduate trainee in 1968 and also served in different ranks in the group’s gold, coal, base metal and antimony mines. By 1994 he had become the CEO of JCI’s coal and base metal division. He also previously served as deputy managing director and technical director of Duiker Mining from 1998."[1]
