Biographical Information

"Neil is a former FTSE 100 chief executive. After completing an engineering degree, Neil joined Johnston Matthey in 1980 where he held several senior management positions in both the UK and the US, before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2004. Since retiring from Johnston Matthey in 2014, Neil has focused his time on his non-executive roles."[1]

Neil Carson was appointed a Amec "non-executive director on 31 August 2010. He has been Chief Executive of Johnson Matthey Plc, the FTSE100 speciality chemical company, since 2004, a company he joined in 1980 after completing an engineering degree, and he has held a number of senior management positions in both the UK and the US. He is currently a member of the advisory board of the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Learning." [2]
