Biographical Information

"Nick runs his own policy and research consultancy, specialising in policy development, research and strategic leadership...He is a Research Fellow at the Smith Institute where he contributes to their programme of publications and seminars and leads on race, migration and cohesion. He has worked extensively on cohesion issues for the Leadership Centre for Local Government, the Office of Public Management and is a Principal Associate with the Institute of Community Cohesion.

"Between 2004 and 2007, Nick was the Director of Policy and Public Sector for the Commission for Racial Equality where he led the development of the CRE’s policy agenda. He was also responsible for managing the Commission’s relationship with the public sector and monitoring the performance of all public authorities with regards to race equality.

"Nick is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and a member of the Ethnicity Advisory Group for the United Kingdom Household Longitudinal Study. "
