Nicky McIntyre

Nicky McIntyre "has served as Vice President of Development and Communications at the Global Fund for Women since 1997. She is a native of Scotland with a Master's degree in urban affairs and planning from the City University of New York, Hunter College and a Bachelor's degree in History and French from Oxford University, United Kingdom. Prior to coming to the Global Fund, Nicky held several senior positions with the Marin Housing Authority, developing, implementing and fundraising for innovative programs to address homelessness and poverty among women and special needs populations. For her work she received the Beryl H. Buck Award for Achievement. Since joining the Global Fund, Nicky has been responsible for several award-winning publications and has successfully overseen a significant increase in the organization's annual income from $3 million to $12 million per year. Most recently, Nicky led the organization to the successful completion of its $20 million Investing in Women Campaign. She became a recipient of the Gerbode Professional Development Fellowship for 2006 for her outstanding achievements. Nicky has served on the Board of the Global Greengrants Fund. She currently serves on the Board of Gender Action." [1]
