Biographical Information

"Mr. Nicolas Bazire has been the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Arnault SAS since 1999. Mr. Bazire serves as the Head of Development and Acquisitions of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton. He served as a Managing Partner of Rothschild & Cie Banque from 1995 to 1999. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Rothschild & Cie and Chairman of the Partnership Board. He was an Auditor and then an auxiliary judge at the Cour des Comptes. In 1993, Mr. Bazire served as Chief of Staff and a Project Manager for Prime Minister Edouard Balladur. He has been a Director of Suez Environnement Company SA since July 15, 2008 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton since May 12, 1999. He serves as a Director of Atos S.A. He has been a Non Independent Director of Carrefour SA since July 28, 2008. Mr. Bazire served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Carrefour SA since March 2007. He served as a Director of Les Echos. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Rothschild and Cie Banque SCS. He served as an Independent Director of Ipsos SA from March 6, 2002 to January 16, 2009. Mr. Bazire served as a Director of Edouard Balladur from 1993 to 1995. Mr. Bazire is a graduate of the French Naval Academy and Institut d’études politiques of Paris and studied at Ecole Nationale d’Administration. He is Director of Go Invest SA."[1]

In September 2011, the BBC reported: "Nicolas Bazire, the best man at French President Nicolas Sarkozy's wedding, is charged with misuse of public funds over a 1990s election". [1]
