Biographical Information

"Paul is deputy leader and cabinet member for finance at Liverpool council. He was elected as a councillor on Liverpool city council in 1995 and became deputy leader in 2010. Previously, he was a member of Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority; opposition spokesperson on the environment at Liverpool city council; a board member of Ropewalks; and a director of Liverpool Groundwork Trust."[1]

"Paul has worked as a barrister specialising in commercial law since 1994 and made 'The Times lawyer of the week' following one high profile case. He was elected as a councillor for Liverpool City Council in 1995 and in May 2010 he became Deputy Leader. He is also the cabinet member with responsibility for finance overseeing the Council budget. He was appointed Chairman of The Riverside Group Ltd in May 2010." [2]
