Biographical Information

Paul joined Allocate "as Chairman in 2015 and has 23 years’ experience in the private equity sector. Paul acts as an adviser to the Allocate Software board. Since joining Apax Partners in 1992, Paul has spent his career as both an investor in and a board member of private equity companies. He retired from Apax Partners in 2010 as a member of the Investment Committee and now advises Hg Capital, the majority shareholder of Allocate Software, as well as holding a number of investments in private companies" [1]

"Paul qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen and subsequently joined Apax Partners in 1992. Paul was at Apax for 18 years where he invested in a number of early stage, growth and buyout businesses both in the UK and internationally – primarily in the media sector. Before retiring from Apax Partners in 2010, Paul spent four years as Chairman of the Approval and Portfolio Review Committees, which were responsible for all investments in the nine countries Apax Partners operated in. Paul is an Investment Director" for Jacana West African team. [2]
