Biographical Information

"Peter is the Founder of the Relief Trust, a charitable organisation supporting education and health in Africa and deprived areas of the UK. He has co-chaired the no.1 ranked NGO Against Malaria since 2005 and chaired the highly successful Oaklands school in Tower Hamlets, London since 2001. More recently he has taken on the job of turning round a failing primary school in another deprived area in Poplar. He is also a Business Advisory Council member of Oxford Said Business School, and a board member of the KPMG Foundation, Heart of the City, Cambridge Heath 6th Form College and the Tower Hamlets Education and Business Partnership.

"Peter’s professional expertise is in law, audit and communications. He holds law degrees from Oxford and Cambridge Universities and qualified as a commercial barrister at 1 Essex Court, Temple. During a long career in the city he worked on many large cross border transactions, start up ventures and resolved multi-jurisdictional disputes, including successful debt recovery from the defaulting Russian Government. During his time as the Chief Legal Officer for Lehman Brothers International he established its Foundation which he still chairs."[1]
