Prometon

Prometon is a methoxytriazine herbicide. It is "commonly used in nonagricultural settings for maintenance of roadsides, commercial areas, lawns, and gardens."[1]

Pollution of Waterways

According to a 1999 U.S. Geological Survey publication, Prometon was among the top herbicides found in streams and shallow groundwater in urban areas.[2]
