Rahman Aljebouri "is the Senior Program Officer for the Middle East and North Africa at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) with a focus on Iraq and the Gulf states... Rahman was forced to flee Iraq in 1991. Since then, he has served as the Iraqi Community Coordinator for the Iraq Foundation in Washington, D.C. ... He then served as the National Democratic Institute’s Deputy Country Director and Director of Civil Society and Election Program in Iraq. There he provided training to hundreds of civic and political party activists. He helped design and implement the NDI Civic Dialogue program and helped launch the NGO League, a network of more than one hundred NGOs; the Iraqi Election Information Network (EIN) which monitored the last two elections and referendum; and Mirat Media, a monitoring network that is playing a leading role in monitoring the Iraqi government."
