Riptide Communications is a leading full-service public relations firm for Progressive clientele. Riptide, based in New York City, was founded in 1989 by current president, David Lerner.

Overview

Riptide provides press, strategic communications, and public relations services to groups and individuals committed to Progressive social change. In its twenty-two years of operations, Riptide has broadened the impact of countless campaigns, movements, and initiatives for human rights, social justice, economic inequality, environmentalism, immigrant rights and other similar issues.[1]

In the February 15, 2003 anti-war protest Riptide helped to organize hundreds of thousands of protesters to the streets of Manhattan [2] [3].

Riptide continues to work closely on all areas of work with the Center for Constitutional Rights, most notably in their ongoing efforts to afford rights to detainees of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
