Sara Abbasi

Sara Abbasi "is Chair, Board of Directors of Developments in Literacy (DIL). In 2001, Sara established DIL’s San Francisco chapter. DIL is a U.S. based non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of female literacy in the remote areas of Pakistan. Sara and her husband, Sohaib Abbasi, established the Islamic Studies Program at Stanford University in 2003. Sara serves on the boards of One Nation, The World Affairs Council of Northern California, Stanford University Islamic Studies Program, and Menlo School. With her board affiliations, Sara has been actively involved in several initiatives with a particular focus on education and cross cultural understanding. Sara holds a BA in Business Administration from Santa Clara University and a MA in International Relations." [1]
