Scott Lewis "serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local governments to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to strengthen the community and civic factors that promote functioning public justice systems.

"Mr. Lewis received a B.S. in Education from Western Washington University and has taken post-graduate coursework through Fuller Theological Seminary and the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.

"As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of International Justice Mission, Mr. Lewis oversees the daily operations of the entire mission and serves on the executive team to develop and implement long-range strategy.

"Before joining IJM in 2006, Mr. Lewis built a distinguished 21-year career with Young Life, a Christian organization that guides adolescents to grow in faith by providing strong, positive influences through caring adults. Mr. Lewis served Young Life as Area and Regional Director in Washington state and as Senior Campaign Director in a $14.3 million capital campaign.

"Prior to taking on the capital campaign with Young Life, Mr. Lewis served as Vice President of Ministry Advancement for Partners International, a Christian organization that works to equip local faith leaders around the world by facilitating micro-enterprise and child sponsorship programs, funding and partnering in building projects and providing training services. As Vice President of Ministry Advancement, Mr. Lewis managed the organization, including its Chinese Ministry Department, which assisted specifically with fundraising for Chinese-speaking churches and individuals. He revitalized and restructured the departments in which he worked.

"Mr. Lewis has served on the board of the YMCA and was a member of Rotary Club International. He has also been involved in HIV support groups and coached high school football for 12 years. Mr. Lewis and his wife Julie currently live in the Washington, D.C., area. They have three adult children." [1]
