Simazine is a chlorotriazine herbicide.

Pollution of Waterways

According to a 1999 U.S. Geological Survey publication, simazine was among the top herbicides found in streams and shallow groundwater in urban areas.[1] At the time, simazine was one of the top 25 herbicides used nationally in the United States in agriculture.
