"Stanley Komaroff has served as the Chair of our Firm for seven years, completing his final term at the beginning of 1999. During this time the Firm has experienced tremendous growth, more than doubling its revenues. Prior to being elected as Chair of the Firm, Stanley was the head of our Corporate Department. He is a general corporate and securities lawyer with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and international transactions. For a number of years Stanley has represented several French multinational companies such as Alcatel, Bollore, Club Mediterranee, Hutchinson S.A., La Compagnie Financiere Benjamin et Edmond de Rothschild, Rhodia (formerly Rhône-Poulenc), Sanofi and TotalFinaElf. More recently he has been involved in a number of commercial transactions, joint ventures and offerings for Israeli corporations, including Clal Electronics Industries Ltd., Nova Measuring Instruments, Ltd., Opal, Inc., Scitex Corporation, Super-Sol Ltd. and Tadiran Limited...

"A graduate of Cornell University and Cornell Law School, Stanley was Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell Law Review and the winner of several academic honors. Stanley has, over the years, been a frequent lecturer on mergers and acquisitions both at the Practising Law Institute and at the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University. Recently, he was elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. For more than 10 years Stanley was a member of the New York State Hospital Review and Planning Council, a board appointed by the Governor to approve hospital construction, expansion and programmatic changes.

"Stanley is a director of, and serves as counsel for, Overseas Shipholding Group, Inc (NYSE). He is also a director of The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center. He is a trustee, vice chair and member of the executive committee of Beth Israel Medical Center as well as a trustee of St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, Continuum Health Partners, Inc., and a regent of Long Island College Hospital. From its inception as a public company until its going private transaction, Stanley served as a director of Club Med Inc. (NYSE).
