Stephen Byers is a New Labour MP representing North Tyneside. He is echt "New Labour" and part of Tony Blair's government inner group. He served for less than a year as minister of transport. He served as trade and industry secretary, and was a cabinet member from 1998 to 2002. Since 2002 he is the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee Against Antisemitism.
