Stephen J. (Steve) Rohleder is chief operating officer of Accenture.

"Prior to assuming his current role in September 2004, Mr. Rohleder was group chief executive of Accenture’s global Government operating group. Under his leadership, the Government operating group achieved annual revenue growth of approximately 30 percent, due in part to innovative deal structures and offerings.

"From 2000 to 2003 Mr. Rohleder was managing partner of Accenture’s Government operating group in the United States, and from 1997 to 2000 he served as managing partner of Accenture’s U.S. Federal operating unit.

"Mr. Rohleder, who often serves as an expert resource for journalists and government executives, was named one of the top 25 Most Influential Consultants for 2004 by Consulting Magazine. He was named one of the top 100 business executives in the federal government by Federal Computer Week in 2000 and again in 2001. Mr. Rohleder has testified frequently before various Congressional committees on such topics as homeland security, government reform and the need to create a Digital TechCorps. He has also served on several external committees and boards, including the Presidential Advisory Committee on Expanding Federal Training Opportunities, the National Association of Counties Homeland Security Task Force, and the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) Systems Enterprise Solutions Board.

"Mr. Rohleder joined Accenture in 1981 and became a partner in 1992. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas." [1]
