Project names

I have relocated this German project from the main list as it may be a different name for the KMW Mainz project.--Bob Burton 01:25, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

  • Ingelheimer Aue, Mainz is proposed by to have an installed capacity of 750-800. It would be a combined heat and power plant and cost 900 million to construct.

Edit Note germany

It seems that this entry for TPK's Lunen project is the same as the preceding entry on Lunen, West Rhine Westphalia. It also seems that the "Sachsen Project" is the same as the Boxberg plant (which is in Sachsen).

This needs further checking but for the moment I think it is safer to assume the two are the same.--Bob Burton 05:47, 17 July 2008 (EDT)

  • Lünen (TPK) is proposed by Trianel Power-Projektgesellschaft Kohlekraftwerk to have an installed capacity of 800 megawatts.
  • Sachsen Project is proposed by Vattenfall Europe to have an installed capacity of 760 megawatts.

Edit Note Italy

  • I have removed the listing of "Vado Ligure is proposed to have an installed capacity of 460 megawatts." - Power in Europe describes this as an "oil/coal to combined cycle gas conversion project".
  • Something to follow up - National Geographic and Endesa see here --Bob Burton 07:53, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
  • The Endesa annual report link here won't open or download with Firefox -- try it with IE and then see if there is any mention of the 400 megawatt proposal for Sardinia.

Poland

I cut the "Rogowiec Power Station is proposed to have an installed capacity of 833 megawatts" as it seems clear that this is the same as the Belchatow II project which is in Rogowiec.

I also cut "Zeran Power Station is being proposed by Elektrocieplownie Warszawskie, SA." - there is an existing Zeran power station and it may be that there is an expansion being proposed but I can't find any details. The only reasonably current reference information I can see refers to using biomass for 5% of the fuel for one of the Zeran units but it seems like this is an existing unit rather than a new one.

See also here for details of existing Polish power stations. --Bob Burton 22:09, 17 July 2008 (EDT)
