removed:

"October Surprise is the title of a book by Gary Sick. It relates the way that the U.S. presidential election, 1980 was manipulated by the Bush League, notably George Herbert Walker Bush, to ensure the election of Ronald Reagan in that year."

because:

  • it is much more than a book title; and the offered language is constraining in this regard;
  • it happened long before "bush league" existed;
  • though it embraces the Reagan election as a central point, it is about much more than that one specific.
  • "the election was manipulated" is vague and inaccurate.
  • it didn't "ensure" anything; and nothing was "ensured"
