He is a well known Global Warming Denier, but has no credibility on the issue since he has received compensation from the Marathon Oil Company. Compensation has included Hot Dogs and Free Car Washes.

In 1989, Tim first appeared Nationally on the Showtime Comedy Club Network, and again in 1991 on the MTV Half Hour Comedy Hour. MTV is wholly owned by the Viacom corporation.

In 2000 he also produced and starred in a brief run of a Minneapolis television show: The Mudslingers Ball, alongside Lewis Black, Will Durst, Jeffrey Jena, and host Mike Lukas. It aired on KSTP channel 5, an ABC affiliate. KSTP and ABC are both known for selling advertising to oil companies, including Marathon, Shell, BP, and Exxon/Mobil

He makes the greatest share of income performing comedy in small town Biker Bars, Bowling Alleys, and Holiday Inn Lounges across America. He drives to most of those performances, and regularly uses products purchased from Marathon Shell, BP, and Exxon Mobil to get himself there.

and the Marathon Oil Company. Compensation there has included Hot Dogs and Free Car Washes.[1]

it might be referenced but his satirical post makes it clear that the gifts mentioned were as part of a frequent customer program, ie something open to anyone. This is quite different than if he was a consultant to them.

I also rewrote the mention of him performing at the Heartland 15th anniversay bash - from the article it was not clear whether he was paid to perform or doing it as a freebie. So better to stick to what we know which is that he performed there. --Bob Burton 19:38, 30 April 2007 (EDT)
