"Republican Front Group"? May be not....

It is misleading to paint this organization as a "Republican front group," when their actions are that of issue advocacy and they use clearly bipartisan means to accomplish their goals.

I think the information used on the main page is cherry picked to make this organization seem nefariously partisan, while the facts show some clear bipartisan efforts. For example:

The Vets for Freedom Action Fund made expendutures in three congressional races in 2006 on behalf of Joe Lieberman (Independant Democrat), Jim Talent (Republican), and Jim Marshall (Democrat). It should also be noted that Marshall won his re-election bid by an extremely narrow 1,702 votes, the narrowest margin of any Democratic 2006 victory. [1] This race was also a targeted GOP pick-up. Why would a "GOP front group" help a Democrat in the most contested seat in 2006? http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Jim_Marshall

The Herald Group (ala Taylor Gross) is actually a bipartisan public affairs firm http://www.theheraldgroup.com/tschofield.htm

Vets for Freedoms advisors include other Democrats, including Bill Andresen, a top Democratic Strategist http://www.alternet.org/module/printversion/40482

If one takes a close look at all the facts, one will find two unambiguous facts:

-Vets for Freedom is Pro-War

-Vets for Freedom is bipartisen in its efforts.

If Vets for Freedom is a "Repbulican Front Group" then MoveOn.org is a Democratic "Front Group". Vets for Freedom is more nonpartisan than MoveOn and is about supporting the soldiers/sailors/airmen/marines as we fight the GWOT while MoveOn is about defeating BushCo...don't see the difference? That might be your problem.BadBrad101AB 10:42, 9 December 2007 (EST)
