Tarso Luís Ramos "is Executive Director at Political Research Associates, a progressive think tank devoted to supporting movements that build a more just and inclusive democratic society. PRA is best known for exposing movements, institutions, and ideologies that undermine human rights in the U.S.

"At PRA, Tarso works on a range of issues, including the anti-immigrant movement and colorblind racial ideology. Prior to joining PRA, Tarso ran the Research and Action for Change and Equity (RACE) Program at Western States Center, a Portland, Oregon-based research and training institute with projects in eight western states. In 2005-06 he spent 15 months in Brazil, during which time he worked with the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) and the Black Movement (Movimento Negro)." [1]
