Teresa Delaney

Teresa Delaney "has been involved with Cheetah Conservation Fund since it was founded in 1990. Returning from a trip to Kenya and Tanzania in January 1990, Teresa saw Laurie Marker on the "Today" show, talking about her plans to set up CCF in Namibia. Teresa donated profits to CCF from a company that she owned, and then became more involved as Oregon Chapter Leader when she moved to Portland in 1993.

"Working with volunteers from the Oregon Zoo and CCF, Teresa established BIG CAT. BIG PARTY, Oregon's annual CCF dinner and auction. In 2005, Teresa chaired the first annual Run for the Cheetah in Portland, and became a CCF Trustee.

"In addition, Teresa works with CCF USA as National Run for the Cheetah Chairperson and with The Orvis Company, supporting Orvis' first-ever international conservation grant (www.orvis.com/cheetah).

"Teresa spent three weeks working at CCF in 2003, and returned to CCF again in June 2006 with her husband Steve Eklund and their 15-year-old son, Mike. " [1]
