Morton Thiokol
"Morton Thiokol has left its past and its name behind. It has morphed into ATK, a meaningless set of initials that does little to conjure up the old Morton Thiokol and its corporate arrogance.
"Today, ATK is a $3.1 billion company. It still makes rocket engines. But mostly it makes advanced weapon and space systems, employing 15,000 people in 23 states in the process. ATK is now the nation's largest producer of conventional munitions, serving both military and commercial markets The company is currently developing a new generation of smart weapon systems – those “smart bombs” that hit what they are supposed to more often than unguided weapons."
