Hi General Dynamics,

I move the following from PCRM:

Opponents of the PCRM such as the Center for Consumer Freedom claim that PCRM is mostly an animal rights front group seeking to advance a vegan agenda.[1]

We normally don't consider CCF to be a reliable reference, since it is one of the more well known front groups and well documented here. I believe that PCRM is both a health and animal advocacy group, mainly focusing on diet and animal research (as mentioned in the article). It is also included in the the animal rights category and its relationship with PETA is mentioned in section 5. I don't believe this is generally considered to be a discrepancy, since the two can be complimentary.

I did add a link to A visit to the ActivistCash.com web site, which covers CCF related issues and their various targeted organizations, including PCRM.

Hi GeneralDynamics, welcome to SourceWatch and thanks for your additions to some of the articles. I note you addition to the Coal-to-Liquids Coalition. What you added was:

"While the coal industry is an obvious beneficiary of the technology, other industries that are heavy users of liquid hydrocarbon fuels are supportive of coal to liquids technologies due to the potential for cheaper liquid fuels should the cost of coal and conversion be less than the cost of liquid fuels made from petroleum."

I wonder if it could be tweaked a little such as:

"While the coal industry is an obvious beneficiary of the technology, other industries that are heavy users of liquid hydrocarbon fuels -- such as XX and XX -- are supportive of coal to liquids technologies due to the potential for cheaper liquid fuels should the cost of coal and conversion be less than the cost of liquid fuels made from petroleum."

I also added a tag flagging that there is a need for a reference at the end of the par. with thanks --Bob Burton 04:38, 26 October 2009 (EDT)
