VERSAR, Inc. (VSR / Amex: VSR) was founded in 1969 as an environmental services firm that provided "a variety of technical and scientific services [most often related to environmental risk management and the problems caused by toxic waste and hazardous materials] to government and private industry.[1].

VSR, currently "headquartered in Springfield, VA, is a publicly held professional services firm supporting government and industry in homeland defense and counterterrorism, environmental health and safety and infrastructure revitalization."[2]

Versar "employs approximately 495 professional and support personnel in 14 locations nationwide. About 65 percent of the staff have degrees in science, engineering, or other technical fields. Our pool of highly trained, experienced staff offers practical and creative solutions to clients concerned with understanding environmental issues and minimizing environmental risk while applying the latest web-based technologies."[3]

  • Versar Global Solutions: a Virginia-based engineering and architectural firm with extensive experience in Industrial & Process Facilities, Central Mechanical & Electrical Utilities, and Building Systems. With offices in Lynchburg and Williamsburg, VA.

  • STERIS Corporation: a leading provider of sterilization services to industry and government. Versar and STERIS have conducted remediation programs involving biological contamination, and have entered a strategic agreement to continue to provide these services to customers.

  • Risk Management Planning (RMP): provides Indoor Air quality Modeling and Simulation for Chemical/Biological threats, and has supported threat modeling for the Versar Team.
