This document is a print advertisement that was an attempt to generate controversy over a smoking ban on British flights. It was apparently published by the Tobacco Advisory Council in the United Kingdom in response to a ban on smoking on British flights in 1988. It says, "Welcome aboard This Flight to Glasgow. Will All Smokers Kindly Extinguish Their Personal Freedom." The fine print at the bottom of the ad reads: "Yesterday, seat belts. Today, strait jackets. Where on earth will Britain's smokers be tomorrow?"
