AMURT Haiti

"Since 2004 AMURT has successfully realized nine integrated community development projects, receiving and managing a total of $2.1 million. The NGO has consistently received high ratings from the major International Development Agencies in Haiti. AMURT is one of a few organizations out of hundreds to consistently qualify for financing by funders such as USAID and CIDA.

"AMURT relies on close ties with a diverse range of local and international partnerships to help it finance, realize and maintain its long-term projects in Haiti. One of the NGO's strategies is to strengthen the synergy with organizations of similar development principles. On the grassroots level AMURT continuously reinforces its numerous local partners, seeking to build-up their planning and management capacities. Being a volunteer-based NGO it has developed a close cooperation with organizations such as Engineers Without Borders, World Eco Engineering, Dissigno, among others." [1]
