"Adele chairs our Grants Advisory Council, and became one of our trustees in 2005.

"She is Chief Executive and co-founder of Community Action Network (CAN) – the UK’s leading organisation for the development and promotion of social entrepreneurs.

"She is responsible for the growth and development of the Mezzanine – an office space for more than 50 social sector organisations in London. This successful social enterprise, created by CAN, has now grown to become Mezzanine 2.

"Prior to the founding of CAN in 1998, Adele was director of the Kaleidoscope Project - a church-sponsored project working with heroin users." [1]

"Adele was also the CEO of the nationally renowned Kaleidoscope Project in Kingston-Upon-Thames, a voluntary organisation working with 350 heroin users daily. In 2005, Adele was awarded the prestigious BITC Sieff Award for engaging business for social benefit and in 2006 she was made an MBE for services to social enterprises. She is a member of Nesta’s Centre for Social Action Innovation advisory board and a non-executive board member of Impact International – a leadership training organisation." [1]
