The Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL) "was founded in 1995 to help address the lack of educational access for women and girls and the impact of this lack of education on Afghan society and culture. AIL's goal is to reconstruct Afghanistan's education and health system to allow for the full participation of women and girls." [1]

Professor Sakena Yacoobi, is the founder and Executive Director of the Afghan Institute of Learning.

Funding

AIL works closely with the Creating Hope International and their funders can be found here.
